Training for Better Tennis Physical fitness

Years in the past the only tennis dvd presumed necessary by gurus with regard to tennis is cardiovascular exercise as well as aerobic fitness.

This type of training techniques involved long distance running or biking to prepare the lungs and the heart.

The cardiovascular programs were long in both distance and duration. The only problem?

Tennis is a short burst, start stop, explosive game, and the tennis training must do its best to mimic this specific activity. I mean, when youre an elite class sprinter, why should you practice by running 7-10 miles at a time? It does not make sense, right?

So that you can mimic a real time match, tennis training really should be as much like an actual match as possible. Thats the reason why jogging 5 miles each day does not do a lot good unless you are a relative newbie to tennis training. After a few weeks, the benefits of the duration tennis training will level off and youll be at your peak.
